Dr. Mo Geddawi

Dr. Mo Geddawi is a master teacher, choreographer and the co-founder of the legendary Reda Dance Troupe as well as the Company's lead male dancer. Along with Mahmoud Reda and Farida Fahmy, he performed before kings and head of states throughout the world. He took part in groundbreaking research on music and dance in Egypt. He has the knowledge of the "contemporary" Egyptian dance style and its methodology. Dr. Mo Geddawi grew up enamored with the classic dancing stars of Egypt's Golden Age such as TAHIA CARIOCA and SAMIA GAMAL and became their personal friend. Dr. Mo Geddawi founded the Hathor Dance Troupe in Berlin in 1986. He produced many oriental and folklore dance shows in several theatres in Berlin and other European cities. He has created choreographies for many prominent companies, solo dancers, feature films and TVs. As a teacher, he is encouraging, charming, unpretentious and patient with all levels of students and his choreographies have that polished style and flair that say EGYPTIAN.

Randa Kamel

Randa Kamel is an internationally acclaimed Oriental dancer and teacher with a following across the globe. She trained and toured for several years with the world famous Reda Troupe before going solo. Her unique and energetic style of bellydancing is legendary – her shimmies have been described as “earthquakes”. Randa’s worldwide success has led to her opening dance schools in Egypt, Brazil and France. Her performances feature in a series of DVDs and she has started her own fashion label designing high quality costumes. She continues to dance and teach in Cairo and in cities around the world. Her workshops are always incredibly popular and we are delighted to have her with us to teach and perform for the first time in Holland.

Dalila of Cairo

Dalila is Italian, from Naples and she is one of the belly dancers who has studied directly with world renowned master teacher and choreographer Raqia Hassan. Dalila has been living and performing in Cairo for more than 3 years, dancing at 5* Hotels in the city. She has received the admiration of Arabs and is now an internationally acclaimed performer and teacher. She has shared dance venues with important Egyptian dancers like Dina, Randa Kamel and Asmahan. Dalila is also performing and teaching at worlds largest belly dance festival in Cairo:Ahlan wa Sahlan.

Oriental Princesses is trained by some of the worlds most renowned choreographers and artists in the field and is a member of the International Dance Council (CID-UNESCO). Oriental Princesses provides both solo as united a breathtaking bellydance show with amazing choreographies and sparkling costumes.

Amira Ates is the artistic director from Oriental Princesses, as well as a choreographer and master teacher. She was trained by the Egyptian choreographer Mahdy Emara and in Cairo by Raqia Hassan and other prominent Egyptian choreographers. She has a flourishing dance career and performs on high level in the Netherlands. Amira was honoured by the Egyptian Ambassador in the Netherlands and received the Teachers Certificate from Raqia Hassan in Cairo in 2008.

Jamil Al Asadi & Ensemble Asadi studied qanun and Arabic music theory at the Institute for Iraqi Music and Western Music theory and violin at the College for Fine Arts in Bagdad. Asadi was a first solist of the Al Bayariq orchestra and he performed at many prestigious festivals in Europe and the Middle East. In Europa he was the leader of the Andalusi Ensemble and Les Mesopotamiens, the orchestra of the Centre Culturel Arabe in Brussels. He accomponied world famous singer Farida Mohamed Ali on many occasions amongst others the Festspiele in Berlin and the Royal Albert Hall in Londen.
